Arkansas Meat Goat Association 2012, 11th Annual Spring Classic This was the first ABGA Sanctioned Boer Goat Show to be Held in Arkansas * 2 DAYS * 3 ABGA OPEN SHOWS * * MARKET SHOW * YOUTH BREEDING ANIMAL SHOW North Arkansas District Fairgrounds, Harrison, AR The 2 judges for the Saturday shows will be Shelby Armstrong and Anton Ward. The Sunday show judge will be Lance Ward. MAY 19th ABGA SHOW #1 – 9:00 a.m. MAY 19th ABGA SHOW #2 – 2:00 p.m. MAY 19th JACKPOT MARKET GOAT SHOW following the conclusion of show #2 Weigh in 4:00p.m. – 5:00p.m. No reweighs 1st, 2nd, 3rd premium paid in each weight division Premium will be paid based on the number of entries $10 per Animal Entry Fee *$200.00 ADDED MONEY* MAY 20th YOUTH BREEDING ANIMAL SHOW 8:00 a.m. MAY 20th ABGA SHOW #3 – 9:00 a.m. – Judge LANCE WARD from Seymour, TN Early Entry Deadline: May 14, 2011 $15.00/Entry Open, $5/Entry Youth Show. Late Entry Deadline: May 19, 2011 $20.00/entry. SUBSTITUTIONS may be made by May 19th with no fee. ALL OTHER Substitutions after the deadline will be charged a fee of $5.00ea. There will be no refunds of entry fees • Animals can arrive anytime after 12:00 Noon Friday May18th, 2012. • Check in begins at 6:00pm May 18th, 7:30-8:30am May 19th. • Base date for computing animal's age is May 19th and May 20th, 2012.. • A registration certificate is required for all animals. Tattoo's must be legible and match the registration papers. • All goats must have a current health certificate as required by the state of Arkansas. It is the owner's responsibility to conform to all interstate transport laws, in compliance with current USDA animal movement restrictions. Registration certificates and current health papers must be presented to show secretary prior to show. Show personnel, veterinarian, or state/federal personnel will inspect all animals and will bar from the grounds any animal that is obviously sick, diseased, or parasite infected. • Animals not being shown are prohibited, unless a kid is nursing. Then the kid and doe must have current health papers. • No artificial coloring allowed. • No dogs allowed in the barn. Teeth will be inspected at weigh in. • Any breed of goat may be shown • No limit to the number of animals that may be entered by each exhibitor. • All males and unregistered females participating in the market division must have a scrapies ear tag from their herd of origin or an identifying tattoo. • Classes will be divided by weight and the total number of classes will be based on the number of animals entered. • Out of state entries must provide health certificates dated within 30 days of the show and each animal must be listed. • An exhibitor shall not present an animal to be shown under a judge from whom it was purchased or possession was taken within 60 days of the show. • Animals showing a pronounced defect or abnormality will be barred from the show. • Youth shall be considered up to age 18. The North Arkansas District Fair, North Arkansas Meat Goat Association, Caprine Kids 4-H and the sponsors of the 4th Annual Spring Classic Sanctioned Boer Goat Show will not be responsible for any liability from loss, damage or injury of person, or livestock, or other property. The sponsors of the show reserve the right to set reasonable standards for conduct by the exhibitors of the Annual Spring Classic Sanctioned Boer Goat Show.
