The North Arkansas Meat Goat Association (NAMGA) was formed in the fall of 2003 to research marketing, sponsor educational events, sponsor jackpot shows for children, and host open ABGA shows for the public. Research has shown that the price per pound of goat meat has been increasing over the last two years the price of breeding stock, however, has remained steady. Educational events are vital to help the industry and its' patrons learn more about raising, marketing, and ,maintaining |

healthy meat goats. The agenda for our annual seminar is developed through input from NAMGA members regarding topics of interest specific to our region. Goat show participation has increased dramatically. Each jackpot show has seen an increase in registrants, and the kids have a lot of fun. The ABGA shows draw larger and larger crowds, both in participation and in audience members. These shows are a great opportunity to see beautiful goats and meet new people from all over the region. If you are already a meat goat breeder, or if you are interested in learning more about becoming a breeder, please join our association. |
