The North Arkansas Meat Goat Association is hosting the “Goats Galore, Sheep, & More! open pen sale on Saturday, June 18^th, 2011, from 8:00AM – Noon, at the Northwest AR District Fairgrounds in Harrison, AR.  All goat/sheep producers are invited to attend whether dairy, meat, show, breeding stock, or commercial.  Come to buy, sell, or trade!  Cost to participate per farm is $10 for NAMGA members and $15 for non-members for up to three pens. One buck/ram per pen or 3 does/ewes per pen.  This is a private treaty sale between buyer and seller.  All animals must be healthy and have Scrapies tags.  The NAMGA is not responsible for the condition or sale of any animal sold.

There will be a special meat goat/sheep pen this year and a buyer for your healthy meat goats/sheep from 8:30am-10:30am.  The cost for this pen will be a donation of $2/animal.  Animals will be numbered and will be weighed and sold for market price that will be determined and posted on NAMGA website www.arkansasmeatgoat.com one week prior to sale.  The buyer will also show producers desired carcass traits of goats/sheep explaining what brings more money for the producer.

 Feel free to bring any goat/sheep or livestock equipment you might have for sale.  We welcome vendors to participate in this event.  Concessions will be provided by the 4-H Caprine Kids.
